H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on May 15, 2023 at ALECSO headquarters, H.E. Mr. Zuhairi Al-Masrawy, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Tunisia.
The Director-General briefed the Ambassador on ALECSO’s mandate, goals, key achievements, and major projects and activities. He also highlighted the role of the Khartoum International Institute for the Arabic Language, where students from Indonesia are studying at diploma, MA and doctorate levels. He welcomed potential cooperation with Indonesia, including through benefiting from the academic education provided by the Institute of Arab Research and Studies in Cairo.
For his part, the Indonesian Ambassador thanked the Director-General for providing this opportunity for him to learn about ALECSO and its work and achievements in the educational, cultural and scientific fields. He expressed appreciation of the significant role it plays, through the Khartoum International Institute for the Arabic Language, in promoting the Arabic language at the regional and international levels.
Both sides agreed to pursue consultations toward further strengthening relations between ALECSO and academic and research institutions in Indonesia.
