A delegation from the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization, headed by Director-General H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, took part in a cultural event on “Citizenship Education through Coexistence and Openness to Cultures”, organized on May 4, 2023 by the Tunisian Ministry of Education, jointly with UNICEF, under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ali Boughdiri, Tunisian Education Minister.
The event was attended by a number of ambassadors as well as heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Tunisia.
The event featured creative performances (dancing, drawing, poetry, ...) by children of Arab and other nationalities, conveying messages of peace, coexistence, and acceptance of difference.
During this event, Dr. Mohamed Ould Omar, Director-General of ALECSO, was honored by the Tunisian Ministry of Education, in recognition of ALECSO’s valuable child-oriented initiatives in the educational, cultural and scientific fields.
