H.E. Mr. Kamel Feki, Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Tunisia, received on May 3, 2023 at the Ministry’s headquarters, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.
The Director-General congratulated Mr. Feki on his new position as Interior Minister, wishing him all success in his mission.
The Director-General highlighted the work undertaken by ALECSO in its areas of competence, and its efforts to promote joint Arab action in the educational, cultural and scientific fields, as well as to provide support to countries with special needs, including Comoros, Somalia and Djibouti.
The Director-General took this opportunity to extend his thanks and appreciation to Tunisia, the Headquarters Country, for all the facilities it provides to ALECSO so that it can fulfill its mandate in optimum conditions. He also expressed his delight at the close relations between ALECSO and educational, cultural and scientific institutions in Tunisia.
For his part, the Minister stressed that the Tunisian Government is keen to continue supporting ALECSO and to provide adequate conditions so that the Organization can best perform its mandate.
At the end of the meeting, the Director-General awarded the “ALECSO Shield” to the Tunisian Minister of Interior.
