The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) signed, on April 26, 2023, a cooperation agreement with the University of Tunis El-Manar and the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences in Tunis.
The Agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, Dr. Moez Chafra, Rector of the University of Tunis El-Manar, and Dr. Mustapha Beltaief, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences in Tunis.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Malek Kochlef, Director-General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, representing H.E. Tunisian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Mourad Mahmoudi, Secretary of the Executive Board and General Conference and Acting Director of the Culture Department.
The agreement is designed to strengthen fruitful cooperation between the three institutions in areas related to commercial arbitration, including in terms of student research activities and scientific forums.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the International Forum on “The Arbitration Code : Thirty years after its Establishment. Guiding Principles of International Commercial Arbitration”, organized by the ALECSO Chair on International Commercial Arbitration at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, University of Tunis El-Manar.
ALECSO took this opportunity to honor H.E. Dr. Moncef Boukthir, Tunisian Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Moez Chafra, Rector of the University of Tunis El-Manar, Dr. Najet Brahmi Zouaoui, Director of ALECSO Chair on International Commercial Arbitration, and Dr. Mustapha Beltaief, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences. Honorary certificates were also granted to a number of researchers, academics and specialists in national and international commercial arbitration.
