H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, was received, on April 25, 2023, by Dr. Mohamed Ali Boughdiri, Minister of Education of the Republic of Tunisia and Chairman of the Tunisian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture.
The Minister took this opportunity to congratulate Dr. Ould Amar on his unanimous re-election for a second term as Director-General of ALECSO, which reflects the successful outcomes achieved during his first term at the head of the Organization.
The Minister commended the significant level of cooperation between ALECSO and the Tunisian Ministry of Education, as evidenced by the various activities implemented in Tunisia in the educational, cultural and scientific sectors.
For his part, the Director-General thanked the Minister for providing this opportunity to discuss education-related issues of mutual interest. He commended the praiseworthy role played by the Tunisian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture in providing appropriate conditions for holding activities and events in Tunisia.
The Director-General took this opportunity to express his thanks to the President, Government and people of Tunisia, the Headquarters Country, for the continuous support provided to ALECSO so that it can fulfill its mandate in optimum conditions.
The Director-General touched on preparations for the 13th Conference of Arab Education Ministers, scheduled to be held in Morocco in May 2023. He indicated that this conference will offer a key opportunity to discuss issues related to education, being one of ALECSO’s priorities aligned with Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Agenda.
The two parties agreed to continue cooperation and consultation on ways of enhancing educational programs to meet current and future aspirations and developments.
