The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) has received a gift of 2000 tablets from Intel Corporation, to be offered to the Lebanese Republic as part of ALECSO’s partnership with Millennium@EDU SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION and “jp.ik” company.
This gift comes as part of the implementation of the “Digital Solidarity : Learning and Education Internet-Connected Computer Devices for All”, initiative, launched by ALECSO at the Transforming Education Summit, held in September 2022 at the UN headquarters in New York, in partnership with Millennium@EDU SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION and other partners. This initiative is designed to enhance global digital solidarity, reduce digital disparities among students, and help countries with special needs to catch up with digital transformations and the technological revolution.
ALECSO has formed a team, headed by Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of the ICT Department, to develop a program for the proper use of these devices for educational purposes, and to support the Lebanese Education Ministry in developing and implementing adequate technology-based educational programs.
