ALECSO Director-General : The  Future of Education, Science and Culture International Organizations Forum has combined the past, present and future

In his statement at the first Panel Session of the “Future of Education, Science and Culture International Organizations Forum”, held by ALECSO jointly with the Saudi National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, with the participation of UNESCO and ICESCO, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, noted that “The Forum has managed to combine the past, present and future into a “smart equation” (Shared Vision + Cooperation = Opportunities), laying the ground for a new system that would expand the scope of action of organizations working in the fields of education, culture and science.  This is all the more true given that this Forum involves six different sectors, namely: ICT, private sector, financial institutions and development banks, academia, non-profit sector, and venture capital and social investment.” “We are firmly convinced,” he added, “that the future of the international community can be shaped only by visions shared by all stakeholders.”

The two-day forum, held on March 8-9, 2023 in Riyadh, KSA, was attended by Mr. Yousef Al-Bunyan, Saudi Minister of Education and Vice-President of the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, along with officials and experts from relevant regional and international organizations and institutions.

Participants in the Forum also included experts in business administration from international academic institutions, such as Harvard Business School, London Business School, and Brookings Institution, in addition to representatives of private sector and banking institutions, including Google, the World Bank, VISA, and the Islamic Development Bank.

The agenda of the Forum involved 20 panel sessions addressing key themes related to the future of education, science and culture Organizations.

The Forum offered opportunities for discussion, cooperation and partnership between international organizations, academia, experts, companies, and financial institutions. It also lays the foundation for creating a global, collaborative and reliable platform for international organizations to meet and leverage future opportunities.  It was designed to promote open dialogue and partnership among stakeholders to develop a roadmap for international organizations toward more effective cooperation, while establishing a sustainable mechanism for implementing partnerships forged during the Forum.
