The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) took part, on February 28, 2023 virtually via Zoom, in the International Higher Education Digital Transformation Conference.
ALECSO had contributed to the organization of this Conference in cooperation with the International Center for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI) and other partners.
The Conference was designed to showcase best practices in higher education digital transformation, to discuss relevant trends and visions, and to explore ways and means of moving forward in this regard.
The Conference was an opportunity to present joint research projects designed to promote the sharing of knowledge and emerging visions among specialists and to highlight relevant best practices and case studies, which would help develop practical action plans for digital transformation in higher education.
ALECSO was represented in this event by Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of the ICT Department, who offered a presentation on ALECSO’s programs in higher education digital transformation in the Arab region.
For his part, Dr. Farouk Kammoun presented the preliminary results of the field study conducted by ALECSO in the Arab region, jointly with UNESCO-ICHEI, on best teaching and digital learning methods in higher education.
