The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization participated in the opening ceremony of the 4th edition of Tunisia’s National Book Fair, held under the auspices of the Head of Government, H.E. Ms. Najla Bouden Ramdhane. The fair was inaugurated by Tunisian Culture Minister, H.E. Ms. Hayett Guermazi.
ALECSO was represented in this ceremony by Dr. Mohammad Sanad Abu-Darwish, Director of the Department of Science and Scientific Research, who conveyed the greetings of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, to the Tunisian Culture Minister. He expressed ALECSO’s appreciation for the Ministry’s efforts to encourage and promote authorship, as well as to develop the content of books and to enhance cultural action at the national and Arab levels. He indicated that ALECSO stands ready to contribute to all cultural, literary, scientific and educational events, in a way that helps advance Arab thought and promote its transmission across generations.
