H.E. Dr. Mohamed El-Amine Ould Abi Cheikh El-Hadrami, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, received, on January 2, 2023 at the Ministry’s headquarters, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.
The two sides discussed issues of common interest, especially in relation to scientific research, being a key driver of sustainable development.
The Director-General presented, during this meeting, the broad lines of ALECSO’s Action Plan for the period 2023-2028. He also briefed the Minister on the key outcomes of the Ministerial Conferences organized by the Organization in 2022.
For his part, the Mauritanian Minister expressed his appreciation of the significant role undertaken by ALECSO in its fields of competence, noting that the Organization has a prominent presence on the ground, through the activities it carries out in the Arab countries, which has enhanced the status it enjoys at the regional and international levels as an Arab platform of expertise.
