On the occasion of the convening of the Forum on “Promoting Women's Leadership for Peace and Development in the Arab Region”, held in Nouakchott, Mauritania, on December 28-29, 2022, under the high patronage of Mauritania’s First Lady Dr. Maryam Fadel Al-Dah, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Massoud, Prime Minister of Mauritania, received, on December 29, 2022, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, along with the heads of delegation participating in the Forum.
The Director-General expressed his sincere thanks to Mauritania’s President, Government and people for the generous hosting of the Forum and for providing all conditions of success to this important event. He also thanked the Prime Minister, and through him the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, for the continuous support provided to the Organization so that it can effectively pursue its mandate and serve joint Arab action in the educational, cultural and scientific fields.
For his part, the Prime Minister stressed the need for the Organization to be ready to adapt to the changes of the 21st century and meet its challenges. He also insisted on the need to spare no effort to enable the Arab world to best leverage the experience and expertise that ALECSO has accumulated over the past five decades.
