As part of his visit to the State of Qatar to participate in the “Forum of Organizations”, organized by the Qatari Ministry of Culture in Doha on December 12-13, 2022, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, met with H.E. Ms Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar.
The Director General reviewed, during this meeting, the activities carried out by ALECSO jointly with the State of Qatar in the educational, cultural, scientific, and ICT fields, along with the specialized conferences scheduled for late 2022 and 2023.
The Director-General reiterated, on this occasion, his thanks to the State of Qatar for its continuous support and its keen interest in scaling up cooperation with ALECSO. He also stressed ALECSO’s commitment to pursue joint action with all relevant ministries in Qatar in pursuit of shared goals.
The Director General commended the significant role played by the Secretary-General of the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, who is keen on ensuring continuous communication and coordination and promoting the sharing of successful experience and expertise with ALECSO’s technical departments and subsidiary institutions, including as regards the work of the networks of Schools, Clubs and Chairs affiliated with ALECSO.
For her part, the Minister welcomed the Director-General and his accompanying delegation, reaffirmed her full support for all the programs and projects ALECSO is implementing jointly with the Qatari ministries concerned with the educational, cultural and scientific fields, and looked forward to increased cooperation and partnership in this future.
The Minister also focused on the need to pay more attention to people with special needs and disabilities, and to offer them the needed training and rehabilitation in order to ensure their proper integration in society.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali Abdul Razzaq Marafie, Secretary-General of the Qatar National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, Dr. Mourad Mahmoudi, Secretary of the Executive Board and General Conference, Acting Director of the Culture Department, and Mr. Abdelhadi Ghemari, Program Coordinator at the same Department.
