Khartoum International Institute for the Arabic Language holds training workshop on “the use of digital repositories and the automated indexing system” 

 

 

The Khartoum International Institute for the Arabic Language, a subsidiary institution of ALECSO,  launched, at its headquarters, a training workshop on “the use of digital repositories and the automated indexing system (Koha)”,  designed for the Institute’s postgraduate students and researchers.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Naeem, Director of the Institute, welcomed all participants, and stressed the interest that ALECSO and its Director-General, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, attach to the holding of these workshops, being designed to develop the technical knowledge of the Institute’s students and researchers,  and leverage global digital repositories and the automated indexing system (Koha) to access and benefit from paper and electronic sources and references for purposes of research and knowledge transfer.
