The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (Education Department) held, in collaboration with the Jordanian Ministry of Education, a training workshop on “The School’s Role in Preventing Traffic Accidents and Road Hazards”. The workshop took place on 21-23 November 2022 in Amman, Jordan.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Rami Iskander, Director of the Education Department, conveyed the greetings of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, to H.E. Dr. Azmy Mohafaza, Jordanian Minister of Education. He underlined the need to continue organizing such training workshops which serve as a means of transferring knowledge to trainees. He also stressed ALECSO’s keenness to pursue cooperation with Jordan to achieve the desired goals and enhance joint Arab action.
For her part, Ms. Ibtisam Ayoub, Secretary of the Jordanian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, commended the significant role of teachers in positively influencing students’ behavior on and off school premises.
