The delegation of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), headed by Dr. Mohammad Sanad Abu-Darwish, Director of the Department of Science and Scientific Research, met in Barcelona, Spain, with the Vice-Speaker of the Catalan Parliament, in response to an invitation extended to the Organization by the Catalan Parliament.
The delegation conveyed to the Vice-Speaker the greetings of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and offered a brief overview about ALECSO’s current and future programs and activities in the fields of education, culture and science, as part of its forward-looking vision and its Action Plan for the period 2023-2028.
The delegation indicated that ALECSO looks forward to strengthening cooperation with relevant Catalan institutions to serve Sustainable Development Goals, and to implement Arabic-teaching and teacher-training programs in Catalan schools.
The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss joint programs in terms of scientific exchange, scholarships, and training.
