Institute of Arabic Manuscripts holds consultative meeting with the Mauritanian Advanced Institute for Islamic Studies and Research

The Institute of Arabic Manuscripts, a subsidiary institution of ALECSO, organized a virtual consultative meeting with the Director of the Higher Institute for Islamic Studies and Research in Mauritania, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Sayed Yahya, in the presence of Eng. Khalaf Aloklah, representing ALECSO, and a number of researchers from the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts.

Dr. Mourad Rifi, Director of the Institute, indicated that this first consultative meeting came in response to the request of the Mauritanian Advanced Institute for Islamic Studies and Research to benefit from the experience of the Institute in terms of indexing, digitization, restoration and training.  He stressed that the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts is keen to share its experience and expertise with heritage institutions in the Arab region and beyond.
