The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization and the Moroccan National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, held, on October 20, 2022 via video conference, a joint working session chaired by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and H.E. Dr. Jamal Eddine EL ALOUA, Secretary-General of the Moroccan National Commission.
ALECSO was represented by :
- The Director-General
- The Secretary of the Executive Board and General Conference, Acting Director of the Culture Department
- The Directors of Technical Departments
- Program/Project Coordinators, and experts.
The Moroccan National Commission was represented by :
- The Secretary-General, member of the Executive Board, Rapporteur of the 26th General Conference,
- Officers in charge of the Commission’s areas of action
- The Working Group of the National Commission.
The working session was devoted to reviewing the programs, projects and activities of the Moroccan National Commission, as well as those of ALECSO scheduled for the financial cycle 2023-2024.
In his statement on this occasion, the Director-General of ALECSO commended the relations of cooperation and partnership between ALECSO and the Moroccan National Commission, which have enabled the successful implementation of many activities jointly with educational, cultural and scientific institutions in Morocco. He reaffirmed that ALECSO will work to scale up cooperation with the Moroccan National Commission, in order to take best advantage of the Moroccan expertise, through hosting and co-organizing various activities with Moroccan institutions and universities.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Moroccan National Commission commended the high level of cooperation with ALECSO in various fields, which he considered as a significant indicator that can be built upon in the future. He reaffirmed Morocco’s support to ALECSO and its future-oriented vision in the educational, cultural and scientific fields.
The floor was the given to the directors of technical departments to make presentations about the Organization’s programs and activities scheduled for 2023-2024.
