The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization took part in a symposium held at Zayed University, Dubai, on October 11, 2022, under the title: “The Evolution of the Arabic Language and Technology : From Rock Inscriptions to the Digital Age”.
At the opening of the Symposium, official statements were offered by Dr. Ahmed Salem, Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Zayed University, and Dr. Mourad Mahmoudi, Secretary of the Executive Board and General Conference, and Acting Director of the Culture Department, on behalf of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.
The opening session concluded with the honoring of Dr. Kaltham Al-Majid, Associate Professor at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Zayed University.
The Symposium included an exhibition of ALECSO’s publications. A documentary was screened, highlighting key milestones in the history of the Organization from its inception till the present day.
During the first session of the Symposium, Dr. Ahmado Habibi, Expert at the Culture Department, offered a brief presentation of the joint Arab cultural project (five-year map of joint Arab files).
