The Institute has been receiving Nigerian students since its establishment in 1974.

136 Nigerian students graduated from the Khartoum Institute with a Master’s degree in Arabic language, and 279 students with a Bachelor’s degree.  Some of the graduates have established centers for teaching Arabic in Nigeria.
