 The Institute of Arabic Manuscripts signs Cooperation Agreement   with Al-Azhar University of Indonesia

 

The Institute of Arabic Manuscripts, a subsidiary institution of ALECSO, has signed a Cooperation Agreement with Al-Azhar University of Indonesia. The signing ceremony was held virtually on September 13, 2022.

The agreement, co-signed by Dr. Murad Al-Rifi, Director of the Institute, and Dr. Aseep Seif El-Din, President of the University, covers various areas of academic, research and cultural cooperation.

In his statement on this occasion, delivered on his behalf by the Cultural Attaché, the Ambassador of Indonesia in Cairo, Dr. Lutfi Rauf,  commended the signing of the Cooperation Agreement, and expressed appreciation of the valuable efforts made by ALECSO and its specialized body, the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts, to promote the Arabic manuscript heritage. 

For his part, the President of the University commended this agreement which enables  the students of Al-Azhar University and other Indonesian universities to study Arabic manuscripts and the related sciences.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Director of the Institute conveyed the greetings of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, to all those present. He indicated that this agreement will contribute to the dissemination of the Arabic manuscript heritage, and called on the Director of the Institute to prepare an implementation plan for the Agreement in the closest future.
