The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization took part, on August 2, 2022, in the first panel discussion organized by the Gulf Cooperation Council’s Center for Translation, Arabization and the Promotion of Arabic in Muscat, Oman.
ALECSO was represented in this panel by its specialized subsidiary institution, the Arabization Coordination Bureau whose director, Dr. Abdelfattah Lahjomri, offered a lecture entitled: “Cooperation and coordination among translation and Arabization stakeholders within and outside the GCC countries.”
Dr. Lahjomri highlighted ALECSO’s efforts in terms of translation and Arabization, and the various plans and programs it has prepared in this regard, given the importance of translation and Arabization in promoting intellectual exchange, cultural interaction, and scientific development.
