As part of his official visit to Lebanon, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, paid a visit, on August 3, 2022, to the National Museum of Beirut. He was received by Dr. Sarkis Khoury, Director-General of Antiquities at the Ministry of Culture, with whom he toured the sections of this ancient museum that reflects the various periods of Lebanon’s history from the Canaanite civilization to the contemporary era.
With its hundreds of archaeological items and collections of rare and precious antiques, this museum has greatly contributed to preserving the Lebanese memory.
The Director-General expressed appreciation of the museum and the rich treasures it contains. He thanked the director and staff of the museum for their significant efforts to preserve this human heritage for Lebanon and for all Mankind.
