H.E. Mr. Sunarko, Ambassador of Indonesia to Khartoum, Sudan, paid an official visit, on August 14, 2022, to the Khartoum International Institute for the Arabic Language. He was received by Dr. Ali Abdallah Al-Naeem, Director of the Institute.
The visit aims to strengthen cooperation between the Khartoum International Institute for the Arabic Language, a subsidiary institution of ALECSO, and higher education institutions in Indonesia, especially in the area of Arabic-language teaching for non-native speakers.
The Director of the Institute welcomed his guest and thanked the Indonesian Government for its interest in the Institute. He also commended the academic excellence and high performance of Indonesian students in learning the Arabic language.
For his part, the Indonesian Ambassador expressed his thanks to ALECSO, represented by the Khartoum International Institute for the Arabic Language, for the great attention it pays to Indonesian students, and for the scholarships it offers to students from Indonesia. He indicated that over 200 Indonesian students graduated from the Institute, most of whom are now holding high positions in universities and other institutions.
At the end of the visit, it was agreed to further enhance academic cooperation with the Institute in various programs, training courses, and other activities for the dissemination of the Arabic language.
