On the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of ALECSO, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Organization offered the following statement :
“I am pleased to express my sincere congratulations and best wishes to the entire family of ALECSO, both at the headquarters and in the subsidiary institutions, on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of our Organization. We pray God Almighty to help us in our endeavor to make sure this Organization remains a beacon of science and knowledge, and to meet the founding goal of “achieving unity of thought between Arab countries through education, culture and sciences, and raising the educational, cultural and scientific level across the Arab World so that it can positively contribute to universal civilization.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we look forward to the future with confidence, optimism, and a strong determination to achieve the goals set out in ALECSO’s Action Plan for the period ahead (2023-2028), which fall in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Despite the challenges that have affected the entire world, we have managed to quickly adapt to the emerging situation, sparing no effort to continue implementing our programs, projects, activities, plans and strategies, conducting research and studies, organizing seminars, workshops, and training courses, and holding specialized conferences in the educational, cultural and scientific fields. This has been achieved thanks to the effort and determination of all ALECSO’s staff members and experts, both in the technical departments and in the subsidiary institutions.
I avail myself of this occasion, dear to all of us, to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Leaders of Arab States and to the relevant senior officials for the continued and generous support they provide to the Organization so that it can best pursue its mandate and enhance its status and role at the Arab, regional and global levels.
I also wish to extend my thanks and gratitude to the Secretaries-general of the Arab National Commissions for Education, Culture and Science for the valuable role they play in providing adequate conditions for the successful implementation of programs and activities in their countries, which has contributed to strengthening and better coordinating joint Arab action.
With hope, determination and team spirit, we will achieve more and more in all our fields of action, and our Organization will remain forever a beacon of science and knowledge.
