H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, was received, on July 21, 2022 in Cairo, Egypt, by the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, H.E. Mr. Adel Bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Asoomi.
The Director-General stressed the importance of this meeting which offers an opportunity for consultation on issues pertaining to education to which the Arab Parliament attaches special attention.
For his part, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament expressed his appreciation for the significant work undertaken by ALECSO in its fields of competence, making of it a platform of expertise for all Arab countries. He suggested a set of activities that will be further consulted upon by the two parties, which will serve as the first building block for mutual cooperation in various fields of common interest, including the promotion of Arab youth as a driving force for economic development.
It was agreed, at the end of the meeting, to form a joint committee to be in charge of preparing the activities and programs that will be jointly implemented by the two institutions.
