The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization held, on July 19-21 in the city of Nabeul, Tunisia, a training-of-trainers (ToT) workshop on modern technology, under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General ALECSO.
The workshop is part of ALECSO’s endeavor to train trainers on recent robotics and artificial intelligence technology, so that they will best contribute to facilitating the workshops designed for members of the teams participating in the second edition of the ALECSO “Olympiad to Enhance Scientific Awareness Among Arab Children”, to be held in September 2022 in collaboration with the Tunisian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture.
Twenty-four educators from Tunisian pre-secondary and secondary schools took part in the workshop, organized jointly with the Tunisian Ministry of Education, UNESCO (Paris office), and the Tunisian Informatics Association in Nabeul, Tunisia.
It is worth recalling that the Olympiad was launched by ALECSO with the aim of enhancing scientific awareness among young people in the Arab countries. The first edition was held in Egypt in December 2019, while the second will take place in Tunisia on September 6-8, 2022, with the participation of 18 Arab countries.
