ALECSO releases 50th  issue of the Arab Journal of Language Studies

 

   

 

The Khartoum International Institute for the Arabic Language, a subsidiary institution of ALECSO, has released the 50th issue of the Arab Journal of Language Studies, a refereed publication the first issue of which had appeared in August 1982.

The 50th issue starts with a preface by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO. It offers significant articles dealing with various topics, including the dissemination of Arabic language and the Arab-Islamic culture abroad, the future of Arabic in the light of globalization, the role of ALECSO in spreading the Arabic language on the African continent, the problems of education in Arabic in bilingual regions in the Arab world, and the language competencies of Arabic-language teachers for non-native speakers.

The 50th issue of the Journal is accompanied by a bibliographic guide  covering all topics and authors (from Issue No.1 to Issue No. 50). This guide is available is both paper and electronic formats.
