H.E. Dr. Salim M. AlMalik, Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), received, on June 17, 2022, at ICESCO headquarters, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.
Dr. AlMalik welcomed the Director-General of ALECSO and thanked him for this visit which offers a new opportunity for consultation and discussion of issues of common interest. He expressed appreciation of the continuous cooperation between the two organizations which have jointly implemented various activities and programs that have yielded significant achievements.
On his part, Dr. Ould Amar thanked the Director-General of ICESCO and commended the high level of cooperation that the two parties are working to bring to even greater heights through the joint programs that they will implement in the period ahead.
Dr. Ould Amar presented, during this meeting, the broad lines of ALECSO’s Action Plan for the period 2023-2028, along with the Organization’s forward-looking vision, the Arab Plan for Education in Times of Emergency and Crisis, and the updated Comprehensive Plan for Arab Culture. He stressed that this meeting will further strengthen partnership between the two Organizations for the promotion of education in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, especially SDG4 which aims at ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
