H.E. Dr. Abdellatif Miraoui, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation in the Kingdom of Morocco, received, on May 15, 2022, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.
The meeting was an opportunity to take stock of cooperation between ALECSO and Morocco in the field of higher education and scientific research. It also addressed several topics of mutual interest, including the follow-up of the decisions and recommendations of the 18th Conference of Arab Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held in Algeria in December 2021,in addition to the preparations for the next Conference and the launch of the Arab University Ranking project.
The Director-General presented, on this occasion, the broad lines of ALECSO’s Action Plan for the coming period (2023-2028), the Arab Plan for Education in Times of Emergency and Crisis, and the Organization’s forward-looking vision. He expressed appreciation of the process of cooperation between ALECSO and the Ministry, coordinated by the Moroccan National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
On his part, the Minister thanked the Director-General for the spirit of consultation and coordination pursued by ALECSO in the educational, scientific and cultural fields and its endeavor to further strengthen cooperation through its programs and activities implemented in Morocco.
