A Framework Memorandum of Understanding was signed, on June 9, 2022, between the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization and the Office of the United Nations Coordinator in Tunisia.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and Mr. Arnaud Peral, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Tunisia.
The agreement is designed to boost cooperation and partnership between the two sides in the fields of education, culture, and scientific research, in line with the United Nations vision for sustainable development. It seeks to promote the sharing of expertise in terms of information technology and educational and training plans, as well as to foster the exchange of books, magazines, and electronic publications. The agreement also provides for holding joint symposia and conferences on topics of mutual interest, as well as for exchanging invitations to attend events organized by each party.
