Convinced of the importance of building a creative and innovative Arab generation with a passion for science and learning, and of developing the sense of scientific inquiry, research, innovation, and teamwork among learners from an early age, and in preparation for the second edition of the ALECSO Olympiad to Enhance Scientific Awareness among Arab Children, to be held in September 2022 in Hammamet, Tunisia, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (Department of Science and Scientific Research) held a virtual meeting, on June 2, 2022, to discuss the organization of this event.
The meeting was attended by representatives from 15 Arab States (UAE, Tunisia, Algeria, Oman, Sudan, Iraq, Morocco, Qatar, Lebanon, Libya, Kuwait, Egypt, Palestine, Mauritania and Yemen), in addition to the members of the Olympiad Technical Committee.
A PowerPoint presentation was made during this meeting regarding the stages of the organization of the Olympiad at the Arab and country levels.
