H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on June 2, 2022 at ALECSO headquarters, H.E. Dr. Maher Al-Tarawneh, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Republic of Tunisia.
The meeting explored the ways and means of boosting cooperation between ALECSO and Jordan in various fields.
The Director-General briefed the Ambassador on ALECSO’s activities as part of the “Irbid, Capital of Arab Culture 2022” event. He indicated that this celebration will witness an important cultural event, the first of its kind since the launch of the “Capital of Arab Culture” initiative in 1996, consisting in an art exhibition featuring all Arab Culture Cities.
For his part, the Jordanian Ambassador welcomed this initiative and expressed appreciation for ALECSO’s significant role in raising the artistic taste and improving the level of awareness through this exhibition. He wished Jordan's guests a fruitful participation in the “Irbid, Capital of Arab Culture 2022” event, indicating that a rich program has been prepared to that end.
