 Applications open for participation in Workshop on “Digital Humanities”

 

 

The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (Department of Science and Scientific Research) and Hanns Seidel Foundation are planning to hold a workshop on “Digital Humanities” in late June at ALECSO headquarters in Tunis, Tunisia.

Participation is open to all those interested in Digital Humanities and wishing to acquire useful technical skills. Training is designed to develop the participants’ synthetic thinking and build their abilities in terms of information technology and data processing.

Conditions and criteria for participation :

  • The applicant must be below 35 years of age;
  • The applicant must have at least a Master’s degree (or more) in one of the disciplines of Humanities;
  • The applicant must have previous (published) or ongoing research, and must be  willing to use the skills acquired in humanities research (women, youth, migration, ... etc.);
  • The applicant must have previous knowledge of modern technology and/or digital humanities.

Applications (according to the attached form) along with a CV shall be sent to Mr. Amine Dahmani, Acting-Director of the Department of Science and Scientific Research.
