H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on April 5, 2022, Mr. Arnaud Beral, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Tunisia, who was accompanied by his assistant Mrs. Ilham Brini, who is in charge of partnerships and development financing.
The Director-General welcomed Mr. Beral, thanking him for this visit which will strengthen cooperation and partnership between the two sides. He briefed his guest on the Organization and its mandate, fields of action, programs, and strategic plan for the period 2023-2028, as well as its role in promoting joint Arab action in the educational, cultural and scientific fields.
For his part, Mr. Beral thanked the Director-General for providing this opportunity to get closely acquainted with the Organization and its subsidiary institutions, and the role it plays in publicizing and disseminating pioneering experiences across the Arab World.
The meeting discussed the ways and means to enhance cooperation between the two sides, as part of a Memorandum of Understanding and a practical executive program to be signed later.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to hold a technical working session to develop the programs to be jointly implemented.
