Director of Nigerian Center for Arabic Research   pays visit to the Arabization Coordination Bureau

 



Dr.  Al Khader Abdul Baqi Mohammed, Director of the Nigerian Center for Arabic Research, paid a working visit to the Arabization Coordination Bureau in Rabat where he met with its director, Dr. Abdelfattah Lahjomri, and the staff members, to discuss the prospects for cooperation between the Center and the Arabization Coordination Bureau.

Dr. Lahjomri indicated that ALECSO is keen to promote cooperation with bodies and institutions interested in the Arabic language, in coordination with National Commissions. He highlighted the efforts made by the Arabization Coordination Bureau to enrich the Arabic language with modern scientific and technical terminology, as well as the efforts of the other subsidiary bodies and technical departments of ALECSO in the fields of education, culture, science and ICT.

For his part, the Director of the Nigerian Center commended ALECSO’s scientific initiatives and the significant role it plays in developing the Arabic language, enhancing the Arab-Islamic culture in the Arab world and beyond, and building bridges of dialogue and cooperation between the Arab culture and other cultures in the world. He offered a brief presentation of the Nigerian Center for Arabic Research and its publications designed to make known the productions of African Arabists in the fields of literature, history, and Islamic and cultural studies.
