ALECSO holds training session on “The Arabic Language” for the staff of the Arabic section of the Comoros Radio and Television Corporation

 

 

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, chaired, on March 16, 2022,  the opening ceremony of the training session on “The Arabic Language”, organized via videoconference by ALECSO, represented by the Khartoum International Institute for the Arabic Language, jointly with the Comoros Radio and Television Corporation (ORTC). The training was targeted at the staff of the ORTC Arabic Section.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohamed Mhadjou, Director-General of ORTC, and Dr. Ali Al-Naeem, Director of the Khartoum International Institute for the Arabic Language, along with the staff of the ORTC Arabic Section, experts/moderators from the Khartoum Institute, and Eng. Khalaf Aloklah, expert at ALECSO and Coordinator of the training program for countries with special needs.

In his opening remarks, the Director-General stressed that promoting the use of the Arabic language and providing training in this regard rank high among the priorities of ALECSO. This action, he added, is undertaken as part of cooperation between the Organization and Member States to provide the needed material and human resources.

The Director-General indicated that this training event is designed to enhance the performance of the staff of the ORTC Arabic Section, and to provide basic knowledge and skills in the use of the Arabic language. The training program involves theoretical as well as practical aspects, and seeks not only to provide knowledge but also to develop participants’ skills and enable them to take best advantage of the training course.

Eleven (11) trainees are taking part in the two-week session, moderated by Arabic language experts from the Khartoum Institute. 

This training session is part of the training programs implemented by ALECSO for countries with special needs, with a view to strengthening their national capacities and competencies.
