As part of the Arab Code Week (ACW), the “Arab Kahoot for Programming” contest was launched on February 25, 2022, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Fethi Sellaouti, Tunisian Minister of Education, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT Department, Dr. Kamel Hajjam, Secretary-General of the Tunisian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, Mrs. Widad Rezgui, President of the Tunisian Association for Educational Initiatives, and Dr. Hala Helmy Zayed, representative of the Egyptian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture.
On this occasion, the Minister and the Director-General paid a visit to the Mustapha Khraief lower-secondary school in M’hamdia city, which organized a special day in celebration of the Arab Code Week. They visited workshops of students who presented their works with which they would participate in the ACW competition, including models of solar energy control systems, irrigation robots, Smart City models, along with programming and painting workshops.
At the end of the visit, the Minister and the Director-General planted an olive tree in the school yard.
