The Expert Meeting of the 18th Conference of Arab Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research kicked off in Algiers, Algeria, on December 26, 2021. The theme of the Conference is : “Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Arab World Toward 2030: Vision and Directions”.
The Expert Meeting included three sessions :
- Session 1 was devoted to the Conference keynote paper which addressed “The Current State of Arab Higher Education in Light of Global Approaches”;
- Session 2 discussed the topic of “Scientific Research in the Arab World : Reality and Challenges”.
- Session 3 was devoted to presenting three scientific papers on :
- The use of Blockchain technology for the authentication of diplomas and certificates delivered by Arab higher education institutions;
- The executive plan for the general framework of Arab scientific research in the social, cultural and economic fields;
- The development of regional performance indicators for the use of artificial intelligence.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of the draft recommendations that will be submitted to Ministerial Meeting to be held on December 28, 2021.
