The Damascus-based Arab Center for Arabization, Translation, Authorship and Publication, a subsidiary institution of ALECSO, has recently issued a new book entitled “Contemporary Trends in International Higher Education”.
The book includes six (6) chapters dealing, respectively, with :
- Equal rights and opportunities for access to higher education, relevant global experiences, and increased admission of ethnic minority students;
- The digitization of education and MOOC courses;
- Ethics in higher education;
- Problems and challenges facing international students;
- Innovation and modernization in higher education, and world university rankings;
- The role of the university in promoting good citizenship, social responsibility, shared values, and the rights of marginalized groups to higher education.
