ALECSO-UNESCO Workshop on “Environmental Assessment as a Tool of Natural Resources Conservation in the Arab World”

 

 

The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization held, on December 1-2, 2021, jointly with the UNESCO Regional Office in Cairo, a virtual workshop on “Environmental Assessment as a Tool of Natural Resources Conservation in the Arab World”.

The workshop aims to provide participants with the skills and competencies of environmental assessment, by showcasing the relevant experiences of Arab countries and encouraging the use of modern technology to achieve sustainable development goals in their economic, social and environmental dimensions.

The workshop is part of the activities of the Arab-MAB Network for achieving Goal 15 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It is designed to benefit environment workers in all Arab countries. 

The workshop is attended by over 15 specialized trainees from 9 Arab States (Jordan - UAE - Tunisia - Palestine - Qatar - Lebanon - Libya - Morocco - Yemen).
