H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on November 26, 2021, a delegation from the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, an intergovernmental organization headquartered in Stockholm.
The meeting discussed ways of promoting cooperation between ALECSO and the Institute, especially in terms of strengthening the capacities of women and youth, enhancing their participation in elections and citizenship education, and supporting media and civic education.
Participants considered the possibility of implementing joint activities aligned with ALECSO’s fields of action, as well as cooperating in organizing the Arab Youth Conference that ALECSO will hold in the close future.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties agreed to pursue coordination toward further cooperation.
