H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, paid a visit to H.E. Dr. Fethi Sellaouti, Tunisian Minister of Education and President of the Tunisian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture.
The Director-General congratulated Dr. Sellaouti on the renewed confidence placed in him as Minister of Education, wishing him every success in discharging his duties. He expressed, on this occasion, his appreciation of the rich cooperation between ALECSO and the Ministry, and indicated ALECSO’s readiness to further strengthen these relations.
On his part, the Tunisian Minister expressed his thanks to the Director-General for this visit and for his keenness to pursue cooperation with the Ministry and the Tunisian National Commission. He reaffirmed the support of the Tunisian President, Government and people to the Organization so that it can best fulfill its mandate.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the joint projects currently under implementation between ALECSO and the Ministry. It also addressed preparations for the 12th Conference of Arab Education Ministers, to be hosted virtually by the State of Palestine on November 25, 2021.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed to pursue consultations on question of mutual interest, and to hold a joint meeting to come out with a practical program for the achievement of shareds goals.
