ALECSO Director-General meets Permanent Delegate of Morocco to UNESCO

 

 

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, met on November 16, 2021 at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, with H.E. Dr. Samir Addahre, Ambassador-Delegate of Morocco to UNESCO, and Vice-President of the Arab Group.

The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the ways and means of strengthening relations between ALECSO and the Arab Group at UNESCO.

The Director-General expressed his appreciation of the high level of cooperation between ALECSO and the Arab Group to serve joint Arab action. He indicated, in this regard, that the Organization and its Member States are currently working on a number of joint files to be submitted for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

On his part, the Ambassador commended the significant degree of cooperation between ALECSO and the Arab Group, and expressed his appreciation of ALECSO’s sound management of the joint inscription files presented to the Arab Group. He stressed, in this regard, his readiness to continue providing the needed support in order to achieve the desired goals.
