The Second Arab Open Access Week, held virtually via Zoom, was concluded on October 21, 2021.
This event, jointly organized by ALECSO (ICT Department) and the Arab Community of Open Access (ACOA), and attended by over 500 participants from across the Arab World, involved 6 scientific sessions during which 30 papers were presented, 3 sessions for keynote speakers, 2 roundtables, and 6 workshops.
At the close of the Forum, the Final Statement was delivered and several recommendations were proposed, which will be submitted to Arab research and academic institutions as well as to relevant policy-makers and concerned officials.
