H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, paid visit, on October 6, 2021, to King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (“Mawhiba”). He was received, along with the delegation accompanying him, by Dr. Saud Al-Mathami, Secretary-General of the Foundation and his assistants.
During a working session attended by the delegations of both sides, the Secretary-General of the Foundation welcomed the Director-General and thanked him for this visit which offers an opportunity to discuss the ways and means to enhance cooperation between the two institutions and initiate the implementation of the “Mawhiba” competition that was launched some time ago in cooperation with the Organization.
On his part, the Director-General expressed his thanks to the Secretary-General for the warm welcome and for providing this opportunity to explore ways of building a true and exemplary partnership between ALECSO and Mawhiba Foundation which plays a leading role in identifying and nurturing talented and gifted students across the Arab countries.
Following a brief overview about the Foundation’s activities and achievements, in-depth discussions were held regarding the prospects for future joint action and the implementation of the agreement signed between the two institutions.
In the same context, H.E. Mr. Hani Al-Moqbel expressed his deep appreciation for this cooperation between ALECSO and Mawhiba Foundation. He thanked the representatives of both institutions for the sound collaboration and coordination in pursuit of shared goals.
The meeting concluded with a press conference to respond to questions related to this strategic project which seeks to build a generation that embraces science, innovation, leadership and scientific excellence in the Arab world, and in which Mawhiba Foundation will serve as an incubator for talented and gifted creators in all disciplines.
