H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, paid a working visit, on October 1, 2021, to H.E. Dr. Fethi Sellaouti, Minister of Education of the Republic of Tunisia, and Chairman of the Tunisian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
The Minister expressed his appreciation of this visit which reflects the strong relations between the Ministry and ALECSO and the shared determination to build a true partnership in pursuit of common goals. He commended the role that ALECSO has played in response to COVID-19, by providing electronic educational platforms for Arab countries, organizing various online activities and training workshops, and building partnerships with several Arab and international institutions and organizations.
On his part, the Director-General thanked the Minister for providing this opportunity to consult on the activities being implemented by ALECSO in the host country, jointly with the Tunisian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture. He also addressed the state of preparations for the 12th Arab Education Ministers Conference, which will be hosted by the State of Palestine, and held virtually on November 23-25, 2021.
The two sides agreed to hold a technical working session, at ALECSO headquarters, on ways of benefiting from ALECSO’s experience in terms of online education through the electronic platforms it has provided to some Arab countries.
