ALECSO donates 48 tablets to Tunisian Ministry of   Higher Education and Scientific Research 

 

 

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, paid a working visit,  on October 1, 2021, to Dr. Olfa Ben Ouda, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Tunisia.

The Minister expressed her appreciation of this important visit designed to boost cooperation between the Ministry and ALECSO in pursuit of common goals, and to discuss ways of developing joint programs and benefiting from ALECSO’s expertise and experience. She commended the role undertaken by ALECSO in all its areas of action, especially in terms of scientific research and online education, through the electronic platforms it has provided to some Arab countries.

On his part, the Director-General thanked the Minister for providing this opportunity to present the Organization’s projects and programs that are relevant to the Ministry’s field of competence, and for which ALECSO expects support from the Ministry, so that it can fulfill its mission and implement its scheduled activities as effectively as possible. He also addressed the state of preparations for the 17th Conference of Arab Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which will be hosted by Algeria on November 26-28, 2021.

The two sides agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding and to develop a joint executive program; thereby building a true partnership that would serve their shared goals and leave a positive impact on the ground.

At the end of the meeting, the Director-General made a donation of 48 tablets to the Ministry’s General Management and outstanding students.
