The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization and Hanns-Seidel Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions so that they can mutually benefit from the experience and expertise they have accumulated in areas of common interest.
The German Hanns-Seidel Foundation is active in Tunisia, Algeria and Libya as part of the German-Maghreb international cooperation. In recent years, it has been cooperating with scientific research institutions, civil society organizations, and official institutions to promote scientific research oriented toward economic, social and environmental development.
H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, expressed his sincere thanks to Ms. Uta Staschewski, Regional Delegate of Hanns-Seidel Foundation, and reviewed the main spheres of action of ALECSO and the areas of possible cooperation between the two institutions, especially in relation to youth and environment in the Arab region.
On her part, Ms. Uta Staschewski highlighted the main lines of action pursued by the Hanns-Seidel Foundation, especially in the areas of ICT and the environment. She stressed that the Foundation stands ready to further enhance cooperation with ALECSO in the service of the two institutions’ shared goals.
