ALECSO Director-General participates in the Ministerial Meeting of the Economic and Social Council and meets with Secretary-General of the Arab League
The ALECSO Delegation, headed by H.E. Director-General, continues its participation in the 108th ordinary session of the Economic and Social Council, which began on August 29, 2021 with meetings at the level of Committees and culminated on September 2, 2021, with the Ministerial-level meeting, held at the headquarters of the General-Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Director-General met with H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, who expressed his thanks and appreciation for the valuable work undertaken by ALECSO in the educational, cultural and scientific fields, for the support it provides to countries with special needs, and for its significant role in strengthening partnership with Arab and international institutions.
On his part, the Director-General expressed his deep thanks to the Arab League Secretary-General for providing this opportunity to consult on matters pertaining to the Organization’s fields of action. He also invited the Secretary-General to attend the 22nd session of the Conference of Arab Culture Ministers, to be held in Dubai, UAE, at the end of December 2021.
