ALECSO Director-General receives Kuwaiti Ambassador in Tunisia

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on July 30, 2021 at the Organization's headquarters, H.E. Mr. Ali Ahmed Al-Dhafiri, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in Tunisia. 

This visit comes as part of the process of consultation and coordination between ALECSO and the Ambassadors of Member States on ways to strengthen joint Arab action, and is in line with the Director-General’s future-oriented vision aimed at further promoting the Organization’s openness and building more partnerships within its Arab and international environment.

The meeting addressed the main activities currently undertaken by the Organization, including, in particular, promoting cooperation with National Commissions in the Arab countries, preparing for convening four specialized ministerial conferences in the second half of 2021, organizing virtual training workshops and seminars on issues and topics falling within ALECSO’s fields of competence, and providing online educational platforms for Member States.

The Kuwaiti Ambassador commended the high level of cooperation between ALECSO and the State of Kuwait through the Kuwaiti National Commission for Education, Culture and Science which works to enhance and diversify this cooperation and explore further opportunities to build partnerships with relevant institutions and benefit from their expertise and experience. He also affirmed Kuwait’s continued support for the Organization so that it can pursue its mandate in optimum conditions, and thanked the Director-General for the achievements made by ALECSO despite the difficult circumstances and for its successful response to the COVID-19 crisis.
